GHK is a naturally occurring tripeptide released from the parent protein SPARC during proteolytic breakdown. In the event of an injury, GHK supports angiogenesis, remodeling, and tissue repair as a copper complex (GHK-Cu).

The peptide is clinically approved as a topical application for age-related skin conditions, and promoted mainly as a skin rejuvenation molecule. GHK has been shown to be an endogenous antioxidant by decreasing hydroxyl and peroxyl radicals, and improving cognitive performance in aging mice.

When administered intranasally, research has shown promising clinicals of improved and retained neurological health, healing, and ageing.
